Okay to explain: I turned off paid subs again because I was personally struggling and therefore knew I wasn’t going to be posting enough to, in my mind, justify charging. But then people who subscribed in the last few months could not access the archive because they couldn’t pay and since they had not seen the blaring red Emergency post telling people I needed time off they began to write to me wondering why they could not subscribe. Which, to me, seems unfair to them. Plainly I am not great at this aspect of SStack; I wish people could pay for individual posts w/o subscribing but its not set up that way. I also wish I could come up with something charming to say; I usually like to say something sort of funny or at least connecting in these PSAs and I cannot think of one thing! I have waited for days trying to come with it and it’s not happening! So this is just the facts: if you are new, welcome! Sign up for a monthly sub and graze all you like with minimum commitment! If you have been around for awhile, I reiterate that I get it if you want to unsub and am happy if you don’t. See you soon, I hope!
